Parents of Pre-K children – we have story time on Thursday mornings before the library opens from 11-12.  We have stories, activities, and songs for the children and their parent/caregiver.  Parents need to stay during story time and be part of the fun.  Story time is conducted by Thema Markwalter a former child care center director.

Big news for the library….  The library has now begun a partnership with the Caldwell County Master Gardeners.  A Seed Library has been established to benefit the Martindale Community residents.  The Master Gardeners have created a packet of seeds for family gardens.  There are approximately 15 packets of seeds, a bilingual sheet of best planting times, and information on how to contact the Master Gardeners if there are questions about gardening.  The seed packets include vegetables and herbs and are limited to one per family.  In the future, the library hopes to sponsor programs with the Caldwell County Master Gardeners concerning fall plantings, winterizing your garden, and spring gardening.  Come by the library and get your family’s packet.  What a great way to begin your summer!

A reminder the Martindale Community Library participates at the Monthly Martindale Market.  We have baked goods and books for sale.  Come visit us the 4th Saturday on Main Street.
