SCHEDULE OF ACCEPTABLE FINES

Speeding: Court Cost for all speeding tickets is $97.00 plus a $0.90 moving violation fee and one of the following:

$5.00 per mile for each mile over the posted limited speed limit up to 25mph over speed limit;
$200.00 for 25mph or more over posted speed limit;
$200.00 for Commercial Drivers License (CDL) driving 15 mph or more over posted speed limit.

**no contest-plea of a person who will not contest the charge of a particular violation. While technically not an admission of guilt, the judge will treat a plea of "no contest" as an admission of guilt and proceed to find the defendant guilty as charged. A "no contest" plea is often made in cases in which there is also a possible lawsuit for damages by a person injured by the criminal conduct (such as reckless driving,) because it cannot be used in the civil lawsuit as an admission of fault.

*Driving Safety Course Requirements: Determine if you are eligible, and submit this completed form with payment in the amount of $107.00 by the appearance date shown on your citation. Eligibility:

1) You must have a Valid Texas Drivers License and Proof of Insurance;

2) You must not have taken a driving safety course in the last 12 months to get a citation dismissed;

3) You must not have a CDL license, and

4) The charge(s) against you must not be Speeding 25 mph or more over limit; speeding in a construction zone where workers are present, or passing a school bus.

The Judge will make the final determination of your eligibility.

Payment Methods: The Court accepts money orders, cashier’s checks, Visa and MasterCard. Personal checks, American Express cards and cash are not accepted. A $5.00 fee is added for credit card payments.
